Open Season Checklist for Federal Employees

The annual benefits “open season” for federal employees will take place this year from Nov. 13, 2017, through Dec. 11, 2017. As in many past years, employees this year have to make important choices with respect to their health, dental and vision insurance plan coverage.

This 2017 Open Season Checklist was created to help employees make the right choices to address their future health, dental and vision care needs. The checklist examines and discusses other factors that should be considered when selecting plans, such as copayment and deductible amounts, and the participation of employees’ own doctors, dentists or optometrists in the various insurance plans under consideration.
