What’s a “living will?”

A living will declares your desire that life-sustaining treatment be withdrawn or withheld under certain specific medical conditions. A living will only addresses extraordinary life-sustaining decisions in cases of terminal illness or persistent vegetative state. It can also direct the withholding of artificial feeding and hydration.
