If I leave federal service before becoming eligible to retire, can I keep insurance other than health insurance?
Coverage under the Federal Employees Dental and Vision Insurance Program would end. (Note: If you retire on a Minimum Retirement Age+10 annuity under the Federal Employees Retirement System and elect to postpone receipt of the annuity, you would lose FEDVIP coverage upon separation from service but could enroll in FEDVIP within 60 days of when you start receiving the annuity.)

Federal Employees’ Group Life Insurance coverage would end, with a 31-day period to apply for conversion to an individual policy.

Under the Federal Long Term Care Insurance Program, coverage would continue as long as you keep paying the premiums.
