What happens to my benefits if I take a job in the Legislative or Judicial Branch?
Positions in the Judicial Branch and the Legislative Branch share many of the same benefits as Executive Branch workers. Employees of those two branches generally are covered under the same federal retirement systems, insurance programs, leave and holiday rules, workers’ compensation, unemployment compensation, flexible spending accounts, the Thrift Savings Plan and many other Executive Branch policies.
