What are the FLTCIP benefit choices?

There is only one FLTCIP provider. Within the options offered by that provider, you may choose:

A maximum daily benefit that can range from $100 to $450 a day in $50 increments.

Coverage for two, three, or five years, or lifetime coverage. For other than lifetime coverage, the period and the maximum benefit create a pool of money. The insurance will pay benefits until your pool of money is exhausted. There is no dollar limit on lifetime benefits.

Automatic compound inflation protection in which you choose to have your benefit increase by either 4 percent or 5 percent every year, compounded annually, or future purchase option coverage, in which every two years you have the option to increase your benefits based on a medical inflation index with an increase in premiums.

Premiums depend on your age at purchase and the options you elect.
