OPM promotes more telemedicine options due to COVID-19

Federal employee’s health plans will include more options for remote medicine as the COVID-19 pandemic grows across the country, Federal Times reports.

Although overall interest in telehealth actually dropped between 2017 and 2019, officials are expecting to see a drastic increase due to the pandemic, the report notes, adding that in 2021 there will be more provisions covering telemedicine care for enrollees of federal health care programs.

OPM is encouraging feds and annuitants to take advantage their new available resources.
