Upcoming: SEA Exec Women in Government leadership summit

The Senior Executives Association will host its Executive Women in Government event next month—a leadership summit dedicated to women as leaders, and featuring on-point speakers, panel discussions and networking opportunities for all.

The group wants all leaders and aspiring leaders among women throughout the government to take advantage of the opportunities for informing themselves and networking that events such as this one offer.

A ticketed event, the meeting will take place March 12 at the Women in Military Service for America Memorial at Arlington National Security—hallowed ground for all women who serve.

“The Power of Persistence” is this year’s theme—aimed at current and aspiring SES women—and it will feature a number of top women in government, with Patricia Cogswell, the Acting Deputy Ddministrator at TSA; Susan Gibson, Inspector General for the National Reconnaissance Office; Desiree Tucker-Sorini, Director of AmeriCorps VISTA, The Corporation for National Community Service; Lynne Platt, former U.S. Consul General Vancouver with the Department of State, and Portia Wu, former Assistant Secretary of Labor and now an executive with Microsoft among the many speakers and panelists.
