According to a congressional aide with knowledge of the 2019 federal employee pay raise timeline, the Office of Personnel Management will publish new pay tables for the various pay systems and localities in March, Government Executive reports.
The aid said that the agency is still working on the pay tables, and agency payroll processors will replace existing pay tables in their systems once they are published, the article notes, adding that the first paycheck with the raise will most likely go out during the first or third week of March.
President Trump signed a spending package that included a 1.9 percent retroactive pay raise for civilian federal employees earlier this month, but since the bill’s enactment on Feb. 15, there has been no noticeable progress in implementing the pay hike, according to the report.
