The Office of Personnel Management, over the next three weeks, will be surveying agency program and project managers as part of a governtmentwide initiative to improve their career paths.
Working with the Office of Management and Budget, OPM’s first survey aims to identify agency program and project managers, and future surveys will solicit feedback on their skills and career goals.
The findings will help support OMB’s guidance, “Improving the Management of Federal Programs and Projects through Implementing the Program Management Improvement Accountability Act,” as well as the President’s Management Agenda, which both aim to better track and build the federal workforce through increased training opportunities, career pathways, and mentorships.
“OPM is requesting your assistance identifying Program and Project Managers in your agencies to participate in this study and sharing the survey link with your program and project management workforce,” Acting OPM Director Margaret Weichert, said in a memo to CXO Councils.
The link to participate is available here.
