Administration has yet to make appointments to Federal Salary Council

The Trump administration has not yet made appointments to the Federal Salary Council, leaving the job of tailoring regional salaries undone, Government Executive reports.

According to the report, the council has not met at all this year, something it does annually around summer or early fall so that it along with the Federal Prevailing Rate Advisory Committee can submit recommendations to the White House on regional cost differences.

The national president of the National Treasury Employees Union and a member of the 2016 Federal Salary Council, Tony Reardon, said that he has made several inquiries this year about the status council and has yet received a response, the article notes.
