President to feds: Thank you

President Barack Obama on Dec. 13 issued a video message thanking federal employees for their service and released a list of accomplishments made by the workforce that have positively impacted the rest of country.

“I want you to know how much I admire the work that you do, day in a and day out, and how deeply I appreciate your passion for public service, your professionalism and the career path each or you has chosen,” he said in the message noting that he knows that the American people have high expectations of government. “Your jobs aren’t easy—believe me—I know that too. I see you perform them with skill. But as I know you’ve experienced, the reward is the opportunity to help your fellow citizen.”

The presidents recorded message was presented to senior administration officials at the White House who were meeting to discuss the importance of public service and announce the President’s 2016 Customer Service Award winners.
