D.C. feds have more time to give

Some federal employees now have more time to participate in the workforce’s annual giving campaign.

This year’s Combined Federal Campaign, “Show Some Love,” has been extended through December 31 for feds living in the Washington D.C. metro area.

“While there is still more time to make a pledge, we are encouraging federal employees in the National Capital Area to not delay in completing their pledges,” Vince Micone, Chairperson of the Local Federal Coordinating Committee said, in a recent announcement. “If you have not already made a contribution, consider giving today to support the causes you are most passionate about,” he added.

Some examples of causes of the 18,000 supported CFC charities include disaster relief, education programs, military support efforts and environmental protection.

Employees are encouraged to take advantage of a payroll deduction donation to contribute to the program. Learn more about the giving campaign here.
