Federal Benefits Q&A

Question: I have retired as of December 31, 2018. My paperwork package has now gone to NFC for processing. I have 155 hours of annual leave that I will receive as a lump sum payment. Will the shutdown delay the processing of my lump sum payment to me?

Answer: If your agency is closed and employees are on furlough and therefore not getting paid, then you will not get paid for the last pay period you worked nor for your 155 hours of unused annual leave.
