Federal Benefits Q&A

Question: If you are a veteran, and have VGLI,  can you get and keep FEGLI?

Answer: No, you will not be able to retain the FEGLI life insurance if you enroll now (you actually cannot because the FEGLI "open season" ended 9/30/2016 unless you have a "life event") and retire in three years. There is no such rule about receiving credit for VGLI.
