DOE rejects Trump request

A request by President-elect Donald Trump’s transition team regarding a particular group of federal employees has left the federal workforce feeling a bit “unsettled."

According to the Washington Post, Trump’s transition team has asked the Department of Energy to provide the names of career civil servants who have worked on climate change policy.

DOE officials have rejected the request and reassured its employees it will continue to do so, although the move has raised alarm about potential consequences of working on climate change under President Obama’s policies, the report notes.
