GSA says no decision on FBI HQ site until 2017

The General Services Administration will not select the site for the new FBI headquarters until after the beginning of the year, Washington Business Journal reported.

Three sites—two in Greenbelt and Landover, Md., and one in Springfield, Va., are in the running for the new facility. Bidders on the new headquarters were permitted to bid on one or more of the proposed locations.

President Obama’s fiscal 2017 budget proposal included $1.4 billion in additional funding for the new facility—but Congress still has not passed a budget for the next fiscal year, the article noted.
