DHS employees' personal info exposed

A security vulnerability in a vendor's system used by the Department of Homeland Security exposed the personal information of tens of thousands of former and current federal employees to potential unauthorized use for several years, Federal News Radio
DHS officials have determined that from 2009 to 2013, the names, Social Security numbers and dates of birth of DHS employees working in the headquarters office or for Customs and Border Protection and Immigration and Customs Enforcement were potentially accessible by an unauthorized user of a vendor’s background investigation database, according to the report.
