What do you know? Not much. I used FELSC and had a different attorney - Joanne Donohue. She was very good. I also spoke to the billing person, Barbi. Don't know what you're talking about. I know plenty of folks at the usps who were very pleased with FELSC's services. The whole point is to find an attorney who will get you to a hearing. duh?!

You guys are crazy. Rosemary Dettling was superb. At the hearing she blew the agency out of the water. I was thrilled. Two of RD's collegues, Joanne and Jon, were also very competent.

My experience with FELSC Rosemary Dettling Joanne Donohue Bar Hagerty etc was all positive. A lot of these people on here are looking to blame others for their personal and professional problems. If you want an attorney to help you with the law, go to Rosemary Dettling at the Federal Employee Legal Services Center. If you want to be an "arm chair" attorney and second guess everything your attorney says to help you, you're better off staying on this site and discussing your problems here.

That sounds like a different law firm. I worked with Rosemary and some of her colleagues and had a very pleasant experience. It was definitely not a one person show. They returned all my calls in a timely manner and were very responsive. Not all agency's give employees the chance to rebut the ROI -- most don't. There is no doubt in my mind that Rosemary Dettling knew more about the EEOC process and MSPB process than any of the agency lawyers involved. I had a "mixed case" and she knew exactly what she was doing the whole time. I find it hard to believe that she was ever confused. I worked closely with her and can say this in all honesty. She won my case, and that's all I can ask. I'm happy. Good luck with your case.

She was non-responsive to several of my questions and also put little to no effort in my Discovery submission. She seemed genuinely confused by the AJ's order to remand my case to the agency as a Mixed Case complaint. Exercise caution!!

I would recommend anyone looking for an EEO attorney to visit the fedhallofshame.com site. She has a list of attorneys with recent success at the MSPB. I worked with Pete H. Noone and was very impressed with his knowledge and tenacity. I also worked with Elizabeth Newman from the Mahoney and Jeffrey law firm, also a very competent and skillful attorney. Peter Jeffrey and Pete Noone both had recent success before the MSPB.

I found an excellent attorney in Washington, DC who was a former administrative judge, is a member of a prestigious firm with outstanding credentials that I always recommend to others in need of assistance with EEO cases or the MSPB.  Mr. Passman's fees are reasonable and he wins most of his cases too, by the way.  Here's his info in case anyone has a need:

Edward H. Passman

Passman and Kaplan, PC

1090 Vermont Avenue, NW, Suite 500

Washington, DC  20005

Tel. (202) 789-0100, Ext. 106

Fax (202) 789-0101

I had EEO21,  Chung Lee and I won my case.  I hope that you look at all the people and call them to see if they fit your budget.

Felsc worked out for me.  They were very upfront about their fees, which I appreciated. There were no "surprise" fees. I met a number of their attorneys in DC and CA.  I was not concerned that I could not see their pictures on the website.  They have a list of recent cases, just not by name. It's my understanding that an attorney cannot legally use a client's name and case number unless the client agrees.  Most clients do not want their whole cases exposed - that's why you see summaries. FELSC guards their privacy more than  others.

Passman and Kaplan, PC are excellent attorneys.  Their book is outstanding.

Unfortunately, you get what you pay for.  They are incredibly expensive.  I was quoted between $350 and $450 an hour.  I'd have to sell my house to win a case and, there is no promise that you'd get all your attorney fees paid by the feds if you win.

I do recommend buying their book.  It helped me tremendously.  Buy it directly from them.  I found it on ebay for close to $500 and it's only about $30-40.
