how do you file for consequential conditions?? the information i am finding on the internet just says to write a letter with the physicians information. when i had my mmi rating the dr gave me 3 other things wrong with my hand that is connected to my carpal tunnel. he said to file another CA2 but that seemed wrong. so i read today on the postoffice web site (thanks postoffice union your the only one with good information!) that you need to file a consequential claim instead of new CA2 or CA2a??? i need to get this done but not sure how to do it. do i wait until i have heard on my schedule award and then do it ????
thanks for any information on how i need to proceed

Jojo: Normally, you do it through a narritive medical report that states you have consequential injuries, what they are, how they're related to the original injuries, factual background, etc... In your case the consequentials were in your SA rating. If that was done by one of OWCP's doctors, use that report. It couldn't hurt to have your own doctor state it as well. If the consequentials are going to be part of your SA, then that might make it easier as well.
Know this, OWCP doesn't like to give you an accurate diagnosis. You will more than likely have to fight to get your consequentials added. It will be easier if one of OWCP's doctors diagnosed it. Not easy, but easier.
Was it one of OWCP's doctors that stated you have the three new diagnosis? If you need it, I've got some information I can give you to help fight...let me know.

it was Dr Ellis that said i had other issues the guy last week said that he believed my other problems were not connected to my carpal tunnel and that arthritis was not included in an impairment rating. he was kind of a smart alec, yet, he let me ask him questions which suprised me
i will wait until i get the medical report and see what he said. according to what i read on the postal web site it says other problems caused by the injury are covered.
i am mailing the letter next week to give him enough time to get the report in and see what he says, then i will go in after the consequential conditions. the problem is no one will talk to me once they know it is a workers comp case so it will be hard to get anyone else to see me without me paying for it to get them to do a letter on the consequential. but i do know of a place in OKC that does impairment ratings, i might get them to see if they can see me
anyway, i gotta wait to see what he said, i sure dont need another Dr telling me i am not as bad as he said OWCP saying i was overpaid, thats defects it all
the other problem is i know Dr eillis said i have these other problems, but i only want to pursue my thumbs and 2 fingers i dont want to pursue the elbows and shoulders at this time but that might be a mistake incase i have issues later. oh crud the VA stuff is a lot easier than OWCP
