Congrads to all who have recieved there TO. I am locted in NY and had my interview July 8th.. I spoke to Kari this morning asking if offfer were sent out for NY and she said that  only two offers were made and it went to two vets and i think one was for a G9 and the additional PODs were filled internally.. I further asked her about my alternative PODS which were NJ Fairefield,  Nortfolk VA, and Greensboro NC she said they didnt hire anyone for those alternative POD :(
But on a brighter note she did inform me that i passed my interview  and should re apply again when the next announcement comes out which she said should be around 0ct-Nov... But make sure to apply early so i be among the  first 50 applicants i guess again. I guess it all comes down to which PODS you select.

Found this board yesterday through google after receiving a call from Kari that I needed to resubmit my transcripts as I have graduated since initially applying for the position. I was emailed my TO today but I'm a little worried about the tax check since I have never filed a return for myself. The past two years I have been unemployed, going to school full time, so I'm not worried about those years but in 2007 I earned approximately $7000 for the year and could have been claimed as a dependent even though I never was by my parents (was a 20 year old full-time student). When I left to study abroad in early 2008 I never got a hold of my W-2s and subsequently never filed a tax return for my 2007 return. I want to file this return if it is needed to pass my tax check but I'm unsure as to whether the timing of this request for lost W-2s and late filing would render me ineligible for a firm offer. Any insight?

I removed the question I had posted here as I found it doesn't matter whether I was claimed or not, a dependent cannot claim his or herself.

I just spoke with Kari about the Kansas City positions and that they WERE hiring in KC. She said that those positions are still under consideration. Hopefully, we will be hearing more good news very soon. Good luck to everyone still waiting.

MACC10 - You can call customer service at the IRS 1-800-829-1040 and ask them to send you a transcript of your earnings for 2007, and than you can file your return.

Yup, I found Form 4506 and that number was on it for over the phone transcript request. As I had never filed a tax return before or after this date, however, they were unable to access my earnings records and advised that I visit a nearby branch office. If any of you have a TO but are unsure about how your tax check will go I'd advice you get to work on it! I called Kari and she informed me that if something needs to be resolved in your tax check you only have 10 days to get it completely taken care of before you're considered ineligible.
