GSA tells employees to report questionable expenses

Top officials at the General Services Administration called on employees at the agency to be vigilant and call attention to suspected instances of waste, fraud and abuse.

Top officials at the General Services Administration called on employees at the agency to be vigilant and call attention to suspected instances of waste, fraud and abuse, reports Federal News Radio.

In an April 9 letter, GSA acting Administrator Dan Tangherlini and GSA Inspector General Brian Miller told employees that “it is time now to move forward and begin to repair the damage to our agency’s reputation,” and encouraged them to be on the lookout for questionable expenses and to report them to supervisors or to the IG, according to the news report.

The letter comes in the wake of an IG report that detailed questionable expenses at GSA and sparked growing scrutiny of the agency by members of Congress.
