Census Bureau workers caught counting sheep

The Census Bureau this week asked employees to stop sleeping in public areas at the bureau’s headquarters.

The Census Bureau this week asked employees to stop sleeping in public areas at the bureau’s Suitland, Md., headquarters, according to the Washington Post.

The request came in a memo issued by the bureau’s acting human resources director, Ted A. Johnson, after officials and union reps received complaints about employees nodding off in the facility’s library, lobby and cafeteria. Johnson called the naps “manifestly unprofessional” behavior, according to the report.
