VA simplifies online health benefits renewal process

The Department of Veterans Affairs last week announced that it has automated its online health benefits renewal process so that updates can be submitted entirely online.

The Department of Veterans Affairs last week announced that it has automated its online health benefits renewal process so that updates can be submitted entirely online. 

Previously, vets who wanted to update personal, insurance or financial information were required to fill out the online 10-10EZR form — and then print a copy, sign it and send it to their local medical center. The updates now can be conducted entirely online, VA said.

Secretary of Veterans Affairs Eric Shinseki said the change “further reduces access barriers to needed care for veterans.”
